CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

ABOUT THE JOB

The Construction Operations Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day support of field operations, to include but not limited to: receiving and inventory of materials, tools, and equipment; job site set-up and tear down; and deliveries. In addition, will provide administrative and reporting support to the field operations and safety teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment and oversees their maintenance schedules to ensure their optimal use and longevity.
  • Coordinates the receipt and delivery of materials and prepares job sites for commencement and closure, ensuring efficiency and organization.
  • Safely operates material handling equipment, such as pallet jack and forklift, to load and unload materials.
  • Ensures the shop is well-organized and maintains a clean, safe work environment. Oversees the maintenance of the fleet of vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are in compliance with transportation regulations and are operating efficiently.
  • Provides administrative support of safety management related tasks including preparing and delivering weekly toolbox talks.
  • Maintains safety training database to document all required safety and compliance related training. Maintains all safety and compliance records/reports as required by the company and law.
  • Completes all reporting requirements as required by local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
  • Performs minor building maintenance tasks, contributing to the upkeep and functionality of company facilities.
  • Participates in special project work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of related work experience to include safety, material handling, or inventory management.
  • Basic construction knowledge and familiarity with tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Working knowledge utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exhibits adaptability and strong problem-solving capabilities, essential for navigating changing circumstances and challenges.
  • Works collaboratively with the Beeler Field and Office Teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering strong relationships and effective communication to support project success.
  • Committed to fostering positive relationships by demonstrating accountable and constructive behaviors.

Desired

  • Associate degree in a related field.
  • Work experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong software and technology skills.
  • Experience with inventory management technology.

Other

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain a D.O.T Federal medical card.
  • Hours: 6:00AM- 2:30PM
  • Frequent travel to jobsite locations

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Role involves a mix of office, shop, and field environments, requiring flexibility to adapt to different project sites.
  • The role involves moderate physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and maneuvering items up to 70 lbs. It also requires a mix of standing, walking, and sitting, with the occasional need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Exposure to typical construction site conditions, such as dust, noise, and varying temperatures, is common. The wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety standards and company policies may also be necessary.
  • The role demands adherence to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
