Already in 2024, over 200,000 new jobs have been added to the sector, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. One goal of the Careers in Construction Month initiative is to connect people to these rewarding career paths, which boast significant growth opportunities and attractive compensation.
These meaningful careers can be built with any level of education, due to the varying paths of entry into the industry, including internships, apprenticeships, and mentorship programs. And the month-long celebration hopes to attract to the industry individuals who may not have otherwise considered construction as a career choice.
