Beeler Construction is proud to have a team of dedicated professionals who bring experience, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit to every project. This month, we’re excited to introduce Tom Hartwick, a Project Manager who joined the Beeler family in early 2025. Let’s get to know Tom a little better.

Tell us a little about your background.
I studied Civil Engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. After graduating, I spent my first two years with an earthwork/site utility company. From there, I transitioned back into general contracting and joined Riley Construction as an estimator for about a year and a half. I then shifted into project management at Duffek Construction, where I spent five and a half years before coming over to Beeler in January.

What do you do in your role as Project Manager?
In a nutshell, I make sure that the project runs smoothly—on time, on budget, and with a final result the client is happy with.

What is your favorite type of project to work on?
I really enjoy commercial construction. My favorite projects are ground-up builds—starting with a blank slate and bringing it all together from the ground up is especially rewarding.

What are you most excited about in the next 1–3 years?
I’m looking forward to getting fully integrated with the Beeler team and contributing to the growth of our commercial construction work. On the personal side, my wife Lauren and I are expecting our third child this October, and we’re moving into a new home soon—so it’s definitely a busy and exciting season for us.

You joined the Beeler family recently, but please share with us an experience that made you feel like you belonged at Beeler Construction.
From the time I interviewed, it felt like the people here were the difference. That sense of connection and support was clear right away.

Why do you like working at Beeler Construction?
I really appreciate the cradle-to-grave concept here. Being involved in estimating, starting, and completing a project all the way through is very different from previous places I’ve worked, where there was usually a handoff after the estimating phase.

Do you have any secret talents?
Before kids came into the picture, I was pretty good at baseball—I even pitched in college and continued playing in summer leagues up until our first child was born.

Beeler Construction looks forward to the experience and skills that Tom brings to the table, especially as we continue to grow our commercial construction portfolio. His well-rounded background, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality make him a valuable asset to our projects and our culture. Welcome to the team, Tom!
