Project Accountant

About the Job

This position is essential to ensuring accurate accounting of project revenue and expenses, including a solid knowledge of both self-performed and subcontractor work. Accountable for all vendor project documentation. Assists with customer documents and invoicing. All members of the accounting team work collaboratively to manage workload and maintain company financial health.

Computer Skills

• MS Office proficient with advanced Excel skills
• Sage 100 Contractor or other construction software experience
• PDF editing software experience, Adobe or Bluebeam preferred

Core Responsibilities / Duties

• Processes and manages vendor project documents, including accurate job cost reporting
• Supports Internal Accountant with recording transactions and creating journal entries
• Issues subcontracts and purchase orders
• Issues purchase and subcontract change orders
• Prepares and analyzes project financial reports to review with Project Management team
• Assists with accounts receivable, including invoicing, contract changes and balances
• Creates efficiencies within Project Accounting
• Payroll accounting support
