“Working” Union Superintendent (Carpentry)

Job Description

We invite you to join our “team”….we are looking for a “Working” Union Superintendent with occasional travel (reimbursable mileage, tolls, parking, per diem)…experience in Commercial Construction required.

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years Superintendent experience specifically in the Retail Construction environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Comfortable using technology (Ipads, Smartphones, Computer Automated Software Applications) is favorable. OSHA 30 hour or willing to become trained required. Experience working in environments where the Customers’ Business is “Open” or “During Operations” working alongside their employees and customers…

Successful candidate having sufficient work related experience in RETAIL CONSTRUCTION as a UNION CARPENTER or FOREMAN/SUPERINTENDENT.

Jobsite responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Customer Relations (protecting our #1 asset)
  • Coordination of Sub Contractors, Materials, Miscellaneous Services, Fellow Employees
  • Understanding Construction Methods including Management of Materials, ManPower and Sub-Contractors, Familiarity with Store Displays / Fixtures
  • Value Engineering Analysis
  • Organizing all Documentation including Time Sheets, Change Orders, Safety Paperwork, Material Receipts, etc.
  • Disciplined Work Ethic
  • Flexibility in assisting others beyond typical responsibilities
  • Punch List Execution and Follow Through
  • Ability to work in environments where the operations are in progress
  • “Working” while executing Superintendent responsibilities
  • Willing to Travel (Expenses Reimbursed)
  • Willing to work all shift hours (compensated according to Union scale)
