Time with Beeler Construction: 3.5 Years

Years in Construction Industry: 10 Years

Certifications: WHEA HCC

Q. What does a typical day look like in your role at Beeler Construction?
A: No two days are the same at Beeler Construction — every day presents new challenges and opportunities to grow relationships through project execution.

Q. What drew you to a career in commercial construction, and how did you end up at Beeler Construction?
A: I’m not sure how I went from Health Insurance Project Management to Construction Project Management, but my relationship with Beeler Construction started almost 10 years ago, when I was a Project Manager overseeing construction activities for Froedtert Health Inpatient Nursing. When the opportunity presented itself to come aboard and work at Beeler, I didn’t waste any time.

Q. What’s the most challenging project you’ve worked on, and what made it memorable?
A: All projects present their own special set of challenges. Most recently, I have noticed that a lack of pre-construction reviews of a job site is throwing a lot of unexpected activity into the construction of a project — well after drawings have been created.

One project that I’m currently working on has presented its fair share of challenges. There were some opportunities that could have been taken advantage of ahead of the commencement of this project to really understand the building’s condition, historic finishes, and unique MEPs. This research could have created a more well-oiled, less surprising project for our team and the owner. The project will be a great success, regardless, thanks to our partnerships with the on-site staff and the resilience and overall knowledge of our construction team!

Q. What do you enjoy most about working at Beeler Construction?
A: The relationships. The relationships within our Beeler family, and those spread amongst our construction partners, and our customers.

Q. What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about commercial construction or your specific role?
A: Soup to nuts. Though I have support in my role, I am responsible for bidding, closeouts, and everything in between.

Q: If you could describe the Beeler Construction team in three words, what would they be?
A: Strong. Resilient. Agile.

Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests?
A: Spending time with our family, riding motorcycles, skydiving, and loving up the puppies. TikTok. So much scrolling. So many saved recipes.

Q: Favorite Local Restaurant or Favorite Food?
A: I love a fish fry — Wild Shots in Plymouth! You’ll never hear me turn down Taco Bell. If you haven’t been to Tello’s in Port Washington — GO! Stop reading this blog, get in the car, and GO! The owner, Angel, and his family run a phenomenal business with delicious eats. More importantly, they are strong participants in the community — supporting all the local schools and events. I suggest the gyro or the taco salad with shrimp! Wings? Head to Sheboygan Falls for Legend Larry’s. 10 out of 10.

Q. Favorite Vacation Destination?
A: Anywhere I can be with the family. I don’t need anything special — I just need laughs, love, and lots of memories!
