Annually in March, Beeler Construction takes part in recognizing the contributions of women to the construction industry through a national Women in Construction (WIC) Week event. Organized by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), the week celebrates and promotes the role of women in the construction industry.

First held in 1998, WIC Week was established to raise awareness about the role of women in construction, highlight their achievements, and encourage more women to pursue careers in the field. Many local NAWIC chapters hold WIC Week events designed to offer inspiration, education, and support in their communities.

With a growing demand for talent, the construction industry is overall actively working to attract and support women, ensuring they have access to training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities. NAWIC is dedicated to these efforts, with a mission of strengthening and amplifying the success of women in construction.

Though historically underrepresented, women are indeed increasingly finding job opportunities in all areas of construction—from skilled trades to project management and executive leadership. At Beeler Construction, we want to acknowledge the women who hold integral roles and complete valuable functions both within our company and at large within the construction industry.

Beeler Construction is proudly led by Kim Peterson, one of the company’s owners.

And numerous other women make meaningful contributions to the company and the industry in their positions at Beeler, too. Together, these women bring diverse and indispensable skills and perspectives to their work.

Encouraging the next generation of women in construction is key to continuing the growth of this workforce diversity within the industry. Through apprenticeships, mentorship programs, and outreach efforts, the industry can foster a future where more women can thrive, from the job site to the office to the boardroom.

Women are making a lasting impact within the construction trade, and Beeler Construction is thankful for their dedication and resilience. We invite you to join us in supporting and celebrating their contributions.
